Ownglow – ‘A Walk To Remember EP’ (Hospital Records, NHS295)

First article after about 4 weeks of holiday will be about Ownglow and the “A Walk To Remember EP”. This work will be released on Hospital Records.

A nice release, not the cheesy stuff, but really deep. I immidiately fell in love with “Angels Sing”, a not too jazzy vocal track with lots of low end. Soothing and very nice material for the next radio show.

“Stress And Strain” has more rave character about it when it comes to sound design, still the drum patterns make it a roller. Great tool to connect tracks with each other, just like “Only U (Real Quick)”, which has a bit more melodic content included.

The cheesiest tune is easily “The Night Is Still Young” featuring Blake, also nice for radio airplay, but I would have liked it even better if the downbeat part was included into the first half. Still nice music.

Worth checking, no club bangers, but D’n’B to listen and dance to! Thumb up!

Listen to two of the four tracks I heard here:
